Granny’s Tokyo Adventure -Day 9

Both of us exhausted after a busy, busy week so intended to have a rest day at home but then remembered this is the start of the Plum Blossom Festival in Hanegi Park so it was a quick change out of the ‘jamas and off we went.

Stopped at the stream that runs past Faye’s apartment to get a glimpse of the water turtles again. Have yet to see the koi and did see the very Japanese looking bird but haven’t managed a photo of it yet.

Some of the plum blossom is out but there is still a lot of flowering to come. I only hope it all blooms before I leave next week.

Lots of food stalls today with everything from cotton candy and grilled whole sweetcorn cobs to octopus and squid.

Lovely flower market here today too.

Then a nice gentle stroll back to the apartment for a chicken and chickpea salad for lunch.
